This course provides standardized criteria to evaluate and correct structural, drive machinery and hoist problems on portal cranes. Participants also learn how to set up comprehensive preventive maintenance programs. A plant tour of a crane gearing and parts manufacturing plant is included.
This course includes classroom and hands-on training for new, and experience, portal crane operators. Major crane components, protective devices and safe operating procedures are covered in detail.
